Sigrid Jansen
Biography
Sigrid is Managing Partner of A&O Shearman Netherlands.
Sigrid specialises in structuring complex transactions, restructuring in and out of court, insolvency proceedings and special solutions of companies in financial distress. Sigrid has represented companies and sponsors in a wide range of domestic and cross-border corporate and multi-layer debt restructurings. She also has particular expertise in corporate finance, secured lending, collateral arrangements, and distressed debt trading. Sigrid is a member and fellow of the International Association of Insolvency Lawyers (INSOL International), member of the Dutch Association of Insolvency Lawyers (INSOLAD), member of the Dutch Restructuring Association, member of the Women in Restructuring initiative in the Netherlands, and a member of the insolvency committee for the Ministry of justice.

- Intertoys on the financial restructuring of its business in The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany, both on a going-concern basis and on the implementation of the restructuring via a composition plan in a suspension of payments process.
- A global institutional alternative investment management firm on its loan-to-own strategy by acquiring a loan portfolio and subsequent foreclosure of the underlying real estate portfolio owned by Breevast.
- Vroon on the restructuring of its bilateral financing arrangements, contingency planning (including chapter 11, scheme etc), cocom discussions and operational restructuring.
