Martin Scharnke

Martin is Head of Germany Capital Markets.

Martin has broad expertise advising financial institutions, corporates and other financial market participants on a broad range of capital markets transactions including bonds, debt issuance programmes, registered notes (Namensschuldverschreibungen), Schuldschein loans, structured finance transactions and repackagings. He has been with the firm since 2004. A focus of his practice is advising on securitisation and other structured finance transactions (encompassing both true sale and synthetic structures and a wide variety of asset classes, including auto loans and leases). Another focus of his practice is the specialised advice on bonds, structured products and derivatives matters. Martin has extensive experience advising on the most complex derivatives matters under German and international master agreements. He has also wide experience advising on regulatory matters in these areas.
