Biography
Luca represents clients in all aspects of public and private company transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, equity investments and joint ventures, particularly Canada / U.S. cross-border transactions and cross-border carve-out transactions, across a broad range of industries.
Luca regularly represents sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, and private equity sponsors. Luca advises clients on corporate law and securities issues, including general corporate advisory work.

- Mubadala in its joint venture with Alpha Dhabi to co-invest in global credit opportunities, and in various other investments and transactions, including the acquisition, together with Fortress management, of Fortress Investment Group from SoftBank Group Corp.
- Fairfax Financial Holdings in its $1.4 billion sale of its pet insurance business to JAB Holding Co.
- SES AI Corporation (Nasdaq: SES) in its US$3.6 billion SEC-registered initial public listing through a de-SPAC transaction with Ivanhoe Capital Acquisition Corp., including a US$275 million PIPE.
