Hilde van der Baan

Hilde advises on a wide range of commercial disputes, specialising in international arbitration and corporate and commercial litigation.

She has a particular focus on projects, energy and construction disputes. Her practice covers the full range of dispute resolution, with an emphasis on contractual liability and M&A-related disputes. She has represented clients in numerous national and international arbitrations under various institutional rules. In addition, she also has extensive experience in court litigation across a wide range of sectors. Hilde works with major international clients across jurisdictions and in multiple sectors including energy, industrials, chemicals, commodities and financial services.

Hilde’s profile and reputation have been recognized in both national and international rankings. Legal 500 currently ranks her as a Next Generation Partner for both arbitration and commercial litigation: the only person in the Netherlands ranked in both categories. She is recognized by Who’s Who Legal Arbitration as a Future Leader (previously in the non-partner category). Chambers Europe have ranked her a Band 3 Arbitration Counsel in the Netherlands.
