Biography
Tino has extensive experience in commercial and investment treaty Arbitration, representing Clients under all major institutional rules.
He is particularly recognized for his expertise in the energy and construction sectors, handling disputes related to the construction of power plants (including renewables and nuclear), energy infrastructure, industrial plants, and transport infrastructure, as well as disputes arising from gas, hydrogen and ammonia supply agreements, and project joint ventures. He also advises on disputes involving corporate transactions, international supply chains (particularly in the automotive, energy, and electronics sectors), foreign investments, and sanctions. Consistently recognized by Lexology (formerly Who’s Who Legal) as a Future Leader in arbitration and construction, and as a “Global Elite Thought Leader – Under 45,” Tino is praised by peers and clients for combining “deep technical knowledge, superb strategic thinking and outstanding advocacy skills” with “a very sharp legal mind.” He has been described as “one of the best construction lawyers of his generation” (Lexology 2022).

- A European pump storage hydro power plant in an ICC arbitration relating to the delivery of defective hydro power turbines.
- A European nuclear power plant operator in an ICC arbitration relating to the replacement of the main condensers in several reactor units.
- A European pharmaceutical company in two parallel ICC arbitrations with seat in Geneva with a total amount in dispute in excess of EUR 600 million, concerning a post-acquisition dispute relating to multi-district product liability litigation in the US and a pharmaceutical product manufacturing dispute.
- An investor in a USD 100 million UNCITRAL arbitration with seat in London against an Eastern European State concerning investments in the consumer goods sector.
