Biography
Barbara specializes in cyber law, data protection, information technology, and intellectual property.
With extensive experience, she advises clients on various cross-border projects, including data transfers, breaches, governance, digital transformation, cloud computing, Artificial Intelligence, and cybersecurity. Barbara handles both contentious and non-contentious matters, collaborating with clients in sectors like fintech, asset management, e-commerce, and media.
Barbara regularly provides insights into Luxembourg contractual law and general civil matters, as well as complex M&A deals. She also has a strong focus on the life sciences sector, where she advises on regulatory issues related to medical devices and cosmetics.
She was seconded to an international bank, where she handled EMEA data protection and cybersecurity matters, including the implementation of the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) and the management of cyber incidents. Barbara actively engages in industry collaboration, participating in working groups within the Luxembourg Bankers' Association (ABBL) and the Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI).
