Biography
Austin advises investment funds and investment advisers on all aspects of their businesses, including regulatory matters and compliance, SEC registration, inspections, board and governance issues and mergers and acquisitions of asset managers.
Austin also has experience advising operating companies on “status” issues that arise under the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the application of federal securities laws to digital assets and emerging technologies.

- MetLife Investment Management, the institutional asset management business of MetLife, Inc., in the acquisition of PineBridge Investments from the Pacific Century Group in a deal valued at up to USD1.2bn.
- Figure Certificate Company (FCC), a subsidiary of Figure Markets Holdings (“Figure”), on its registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as a face-amount certificate company and its registration of securities called YLDs that will function as a new type of stablecoin.
- Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in connection with its registered offering of $750,000,000 aggregate principal amount of its 6.400% Senior Notes due 2033.
