Biography
Arnold specialises in financial services regulation and funds management across a broad range of asset classes, with experience advising both Australian and foreign clients on both domestic and cross-jurisdictional matters, across mergers and acquisitions, funds investment, custody arrangements, financial services regulatory and licensing matters.

Selected experience
- A Japanese sovereign investor on its investment with targeted total combined commitments of approximately USD $50 million into a global infrastructure fund established by QIC Limited. Our role involved comprehensively overhauling the key investment documents for the purposes of our client’s investment in the Fund.
- A global real estate investment, operating and development company in respect of its acquisition of an interest in a student accommodation fund and shares in certain associated entities.
- Dexus on its acquisition of AMP’s $28bn real estate and domestic infrastructure business, comprising a platform of pooled funds and separately managed accounts.
- ASIC licensing including credit licensing and AFSL licensing; ASIC breach reporting; APRA regulatory requirements; regulatory issues in respect of cross border transfers of data; cross-border marketing and selling of financial products; Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Terrorism Financing.
